4 Shows: 2 Here and 2 Beyond
GREEN LIGHT GREEN LIGHT
A 3-person show with Jamie Isenstein, Anissa Mack and Josh Shaddock. These three
artists, according to the press release, "articulate... the incoherence and
absurdity of everyday life with sincerity, humor and empathy. The exhibition takes
its title from a photograph by Josh Shaddock of the intersection of two busy streets
with two green lights. Alternatively it is a photograph of an accident waiting
to happen. The image is an exploration of the semiotic, the unsaid signs and rules
that dictate our passage (literally) through our everyday lives. On the other
hand, the image is a depiction of that which is invisible - the anticipated collision."

Once again, if you have something happening beyond the borders of the metro area
(even if it’s in the Dalles) write in (melia@portlandart.net) and I might
include it in the Round-Up. No one has ever done it....you might be the first.
