Andie DeLuca

Though a Medical Technologist by profession, Andie's avocation, an interest in art and art history, began in 1984 when she saw her first "real live" Van Gogh at London's Tate Gallery. She recently earned her B.A. in Art History at Portland State University, after winning numerous awards for her academic writing. Andie has written feature articles for The Bear DeLuxe, and several reviews for Artweek Magazine. The high point of her career, so far, was having the opportunity to interview British walking artist, Richard Long. Admittedly loving the traditional, she finds the most fun and challenge in looking at new art forms. A native Portlander, Andie hopes to draw on her love of the city and the authenticity of the art aficionado's experience to evaluate current exhibitions and trends in local museums, galleries, and smaller venues.
