TBA:11 Visual Art Picks

David Eckard, "Cardiff," photo courtesy of artist

TBA:11 kicks into high gear tonight, so PORT presents a roundup of the sassiest, classiest acts in the fest! Consider this list a visual arts teaser. For exhaustive coverage, including performance works and ticket information, head on over to PICA's website. Most exhibits run through October 30.

Washington High School is the heart and soul of ON SIGHT: Evidence of Bricks. Meet by the flagpole at 8pm to see Tesar Freeman raise his Gadsden flag, then tour the building as PICA unveils the ON SIGHT art galleries, including Claire Fontaine's matchstick map. Outside, David Eckard will be hucking and shucking like a corner Rolex dealer in ©ardiff, his homage to "one of the greatest hoaxes ever committed." Vockah Redu and Beyondadoubt close the night with a slammin' sissy bounce set at 11pm.

Tim DuRoche & Ed Purver's Hidden Life of Bridges, video projections @ Morrison Bridge (stand on the Hawthorne Bridge to see!), 9.08-9.10/ 9-11pm

Kate Gilmore's Sudden as a Massacre, video and installation @ ON SIGHT

Patrick Rock's Oscar's Delirium Tremens, a hot pink inflatable bounceroom @ ON SIGHT
