So-called theme-less, non-narrative, conceptual and abstract minimalism are part of the blurred-line of focus for this show, which could be really strong. Curated by TJ Norris. The 13 selected West Coast artists include Troy Briggs, Ty Ennis, Scott Wayne Indiana, Laura Fritz and Ellen George.

It was difficult to find info on this show (including the name of the artist), but the image the gallery sent Port was intricate and intriguing.

Grey|Area is a strong group show, in fact its stronger than any group show Ive seen in a portland gallery in 2006. TJ has curatorial chops that most of these other long listed group shows dont even attempt to develop and Im frankly a little sick of group shows that take the motto, "If it cant be good, lets make it large and inclusive."

This is a show worth seeing, not just because you know someone in it.
