Richard Barnes, "Smithsonian Ungulate"

Blue Sky presents Richard Barnes' Animal Logic, a series that "looks at museums as 'containers' of the celebrated and the forgotten, the odd and the everyday, and representative of the dreams and aspirations of the person, culture, or nation that assembled such collections...Barnes's several large-format prints on display at Blue Sky reveal the often unnatural side of some of the world's renowned natural history museums."

Hayley Barker, "Cathedral 2 (Black Swamp)"

Charles Hartman presents Hayley Barker's Cathedrals, a series of paintings "inspired by sites from Opal Whiteley's childhood diary and overlaid with the energy and inquisitiveness of Barker's personal landscape." The diary, published in 1920, is set in a rural logging community near Cottage Grove, Oregon, and includes references to self-styled "cathedrals" in nature that she routinely visits.

The Laura Russo Gallery presents Michael Brophy's Memory Trip, a series of 57 small gouache paintings that follow a four day trip Brophy made around eastern Oregon and back to Portland in 2006.

For their ongoing 30th anniversary programming, Elizabeth Leach presents Mise-en-Scène, a collection of works that "all employ traditional representational storytelling techniques in an attempt to gain some slight insight into humankind's shared internal life." Featured artists include Luke Butler, Noah Davis, Robert Hanson, Justine Kurland, Vik Muniz, John Sonsini, and Pamela Wilson-Ryckman.

"Luck has long been used to justify fortunes both good and bad, explain the unexplainable, accept that which is unchangeable and rationalize what is deserved. GOOD LUCK. again. reflects on 40 years of fortune & Scott's early years in Pennsylvania culminating in a succinctly modern & sharp personal symbology."
